Collectability and Market Value
The Memotron is highly regarded among musicians who seek vintage Mellotron tones without the complexity of tape-based mechanics. While not a rare collector’s item, its high build quality and specialized appeal keep it in demand.

The Memotron utilizes sound libraries stored on CD-ROMs. These libraries are provided on a collection of CDs, which can be loaded into the Memotron via the built-in CD drive. For convenience, users can also transfer these sounds to compact flash (CF) cards for easier access and organization. The Memotron supports the CPT file format, allowing compatibility with certain existing Mellotron sample libraries. Discs included are Vintage Collection, Vintage Collection 2, Vintage Collection 3 and Berlin School.
