Functionality: The Little Nerd offers seven distinct programs to manipulate incoming signals:

  1. Delayed Divider: Combines clock division (divisors 1 to 8) with a clock delay offset.
  2. Trig2Gate: Converts triggers to gates with adjustable pulse width; includes a flop divider that toggles gate status with each clock.
  3. Multiplier: Classic clock multiplier with factors ranging from 1 to 8.
  4. Trigger Repeater: Repeats input pulses with configurable number and rate, ideal for creating rapid-fire drum patterns.
  5. Euclidean Sequencer: Generates 16-step sequences with individually adjustable length and fill parameters.
  6. Clock Oscillator: Produces a clock signal with adjustable pulse width, capable of reaching audio rates for unique modulation effects.
  7. Probability/Groove: Applies a probability factor to incoming triggers, allowing for randomized pattern variations; the groove setting introduces a delay to every second clock pulse for swing effects.

The module’s two sections can operate independently or in tandem. The second section features a “Probability Mix” control, determining the likelihood of processing signals from Input 1, Input 2, or a blend of both, enabling intricate and evolving rhythmic patterns.
