The MPC-03 and MSC-03 were part of Korg’s original expansion card line for the M1 series. The MSC-03 contains raw PCM waveforms featuring drum and percussion samples, while the MPC-03 provides associated patches and combinations that utilize those waveforms.
Together, they allow M1 users to add realistic and synthesized drum sounds beyond the factory set. The included kits span electronic, acoustic, and hybrid textures, usable across genres and styles. Programs load via the MPC-03 card and automatically access waveforms from the MSC-03 when both are inserted.
