Description
Bastl Quattro Module, $179!
The Bastl Instruments Quattro Figaro is a versatile 4-channel Voltage Controlled Amplifier (VCA) module designed for Eurorack modular synthesizers. Each channel features individual gain control, CV input with an attenuator, and an inverted CV output, allowing for intricate modulation possibilities. The module also offers mixed outputs, enabling it to function effectively as a voltage-controlled mixer or for stereo panning applications.
Key Features
- Four Independent VCA Channels: Channels A, B, C, and D each come equipped with:
- Gain Knob: Manually adjusts the amplitude of the input signal.
- CV Input with Attenuator: Facilitates external control over the VCA, with an attenuator to fine-tune the modulation depth.
- Inverted CV Output: Provides an inverted version of the control voltage for advanced modulation schemes.
- Signal Input and Output Jacks: For routing audio signals through the VCA.
- Internal Routing for Panning and Crossfading: Channels are internally connected in pairs (A+B and C+D), allowing for straightforward setup of panning or crossfading effects without additional patching.
- Mixed Outputs: The module includes various mixed outputs:
- A+C: Combined output of channels A and C.
- B+D: Combined output of channels B and D (inverted).
- A+B+C+D: Sum of all four channels.
- -(A+B+C+D): Inverted sum of all four channels.
Applications
The Quattro Figaro is ideal for dynamic signal routing within a modular setup. Its features support complex amplitude modulation, stereo imaging, and the creation of evolving textures through CV-controlled mixing and panning.
